The Net: Catcher's Pocket Training Mitt

The Problem:

Most catchers are inconsistent with where they catch the ball in the glove.

Which means…

❌ Missed transfers

❌ Balls popping out

❌ Weak glove pop (pitchers notice)

❌ Weak ball control

Over time, this costs strikes, slower throws, more pass balls and frustrates pitchers.

The Solution:

The Net forces you to catch the ball in the same spot — the true pocket — on every rep. Built from premium KIP leather (the same high-grade leather used in pro game gloves) and durable hard mesh netting, it delivers the feel, weight, and performance of a gamer while training precision.

The Story:

I first saw a similar glove years ago, but it was nearly impossible to find — always sold out. I grabbed old mitts and started cutting, lacing, and experimenting with everything from bungee cords to netting.

After 6+ prototypes, I realized modifying old gloves reinforced catching in the web, not the true pocket. I needed a new mold that positioned the pocket dead-center.

One sketch turned into a demo glove. After testing and refinements, the second demo came back from the manufacturer — the perfect size, weight, and material. That’s when The Net was born.
